The Small Muensterlaender (SM) is a German Gundog bred to hunt, point & retrieve game.

Its loyal and loving nature combined with a will to please make it a wonderful companion, be it in the field, the show ring, at an agility trial or at home, curled up in front of the fire.

The Small Muensterlaenders are devoted, affectionate and trustworthy. They are very energetic with a love of life. Small Muensterlaenders are "people dogs" and need regular human contact. Being working gundogs they are a breed that needs both mental and physical stimulation. Generally a protective breed, they will look after their territory and owners.
